A service role is still a role to define clearly.
"Cabin aide", "service attendant" and similar titles are operator terminology for on-board service roles. "Cabin aide" is not a defined FAA regulatory term. The title itself does not determine regulatory status — whether a person counts as required crew depends on the applicable rule. This page is general orientation, not legal or regulatory advice. Requirements depend on the aircraft, its configuration, the type of operation, the operator and the jurisdiction — always confirm against the rule that applies to the specific operation.
